Today’s inspiration from PhotoQuoto.com:
That some achieve great success, is proof to all that others can achieve it as well. ~ Abraham Lincoln
Regardless of the odds, a bunch of screenwriters are going to sell their spec scripts this year, or break into the industry with paid writing assignments. That is indisputable. There’s no reason you can’t be one of 2011’s success stories.

I agree but we cannot expect success when we don’t know our destiny.
We have to find our destiny and talent. I find and meet too many writers on blogs and forums
who want to be a somebody but refuse to compete with the big fishes. Meaning, no matter how hard you work with your scripts, if after a certain time you are not making a living, money, relationships, condos, cars, family, pets, more money, homes, fame , wealth ….
Forget it.
Hard work does not promise wealth and fame.
BEAUTIFUL photo and quote! I think one of the most important things is to keep going and follow our passion! 🙂
Jennifer — Thanks! I agree, following your passion is what makes life worth living.
Jerold – There is no fate but what we make.
How will we know if our destiny is to be a screenwriter if we don’t put in those years of hard work first? In my experience, there’s a danger far greater than not succeeding — it’s not going after your dream with everything you’ve got and then later regretting it.
Hard work does not promise wealth and fame, but unless you’re Paris Hilton, it’s a necessary part of it.
For someone who has committed themselves to becoming a successful screenwriter, the journey ahead is daunting. But the point of today’s quote remains valid — IT IS POSSIBLE. If you know you have the talent, don’t give up. Push hard and give yourself every opportunity to succeed… and I’ll see you at the top.
